About us

Who we are, what we do and how we do it.

The collaborative relationship between Elise and Rosie was established in 2014, when they started their electronic duo Feels. As Feels began curating their own gigs in 2016, it became apparent that the Perth music scene was lacking representation of womxn electronic artists. In January 2017, Elise and Rosie co-founded music community WOMP (Women of Music Production), with the intention of improving equal gender representation within their local music scene.

WOMP went on to establish themselves as a record label, booking agency and Ableton user group community. They have been awarded WAM’s ‘Label of The Year’ in 2018 and 2019. In 2024, they were awarded Australia’s Music Producers and Engineers Guild award for ‘Outstanding Community Work’. WOMP is now a national community with over 700 members across AU & NZ and is a platform for womxn music makers to learn about music production and technology in a safe and supportive space.

In 2022, WOMP launched their inaugural event ‘WOMP Writers Camp’ which brought together three songwriting/production mentors with nine applicants from across Australia for a three day songwriting camp held at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Due to the success of this event, WOMP held another camp in 2023 and 2024 is set to announce dates for the camp in 2025.

''WOMP aims to continue to inspire and nurture Australia’s diverse electronic music scene and provide a safe place for learning and growth.''
